Introducing Hotel Sheherazade, Luxor, Egypt
[ Notre site web en Français, cliquent ici ]

Discover Hotel Sheherazade nestling in the friendly Nile-side village of Al Gezira, Theban gateway to the Valleys of Kings and Queens. Ideally located far from crowds & noise, it is an oasis of calm in a green & shady garden. Just five minutes across the Nile from Luxor centre on the ferry or a motor boat crossing and Luxor airport is just 30-minutes away; a scenic journey through rural farming villages.

The astonishingly beautiful buildings in the style of Hassan Fathy reflect the designs evoked in The Book of a Thousand and One Nights also known as The Arabian Nights Tales. Sheherazade is the name of the beautiful & gifted storyteller from the same book. Inspired by this architect Mohamed vowed one day to build the hotel of his dreams, six years later Hotel Sheherazade is the fulfilment of this dream. The hotel reflects the flavour of eastern and exotic style whilst offering a modern day Egyptian experience.

Once inside the atrium, looking up seems perfectly natural. Up impossibly high, a breathtaking dome, illumined at night by a wondrous Islamic design glass tiered chandelier. Such a dome with inlaid star is a beautiful example of Egyptian brick used to create a work of art. Craftsmen with all the traditional building skills needed were brought from Edfu to construct this breathtaking Hotel.
